Sulbactam active pharmaceutical ingredient is used in the treatment of severe bacterial infections. It treats severe bacterial infections (most commonly pneumonia, bacteremia and skin and skin structure infections) caused by the pathogen Acinetobacter baumanii. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor.
