Indigotine (Indigo carmine) (INS-132)
Food additive in the category of synthetic colorants. It gives a blue color and it is allowed to be used on its own or in combination with other colorants, in a wide range of products, such as: alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, preserved products from fruits and vegetables, fat-based desserts, fruits or milk, cakes, biscuits (cookies), wafers, snacks, confectionery products, canned fish and fish dishes, melted cheese, sauces, spices, mustard, food supplements and dietetic foods etc.
