Ammonium alginate (INS-403 )
Food additive with emulsifying, stabilizing and thickening role. It is the ammonium salt of alginic acid.
It is used in the quantities on the recipes in all dairy products, creams, emulsified fat spreads with or without flavors, sauces, ice creams, processed, preserved fruits and vegetables, meat products, food supplements etc. Ammonium alginate is not allowed in foods meant for infants and young children. It is also used as a substance-support for other food additives..
